Tramuda does not sell travel insurance. Please make sure to purchase travel insurance as soon as you buy your trip. It is generally cheaper to purchase an annual travel insurance if you travel several times a year and remember it covers you even if you travel within your home country.
Some banks include travel insurance with the bank card they provide so make sure to pay for your trip with that card.
Tramuda can help with all sorts of travel arrangements but if this is a package from one of the major tour operators you are after, we will not be able to assist you.
We specialise in bespoke travel for leisure or business and therefore only provide single travel elements or linked packaged holidays. All this is mentioned in the contract we provide you at the time of booking and in our terms and conditions.
Always indicate the age of your children when booking a hotel room; hotels have safety procedures in place and rooms can only accommodate a certain number of people. Usually the room description on the hotel’s own website will give you the maximum capacity allowed in terms of adults and children. If you cannot find that information, please ask the team at Tramuda to help you.
If not all names are required at the time of booking, do not try to sneak an extra child in the room on arrival, it could be a very expensive affair for you as the hotelier is likely to refuse to give you that room unless you pay a supplement or book an additional room.
The same goes for activities and sightseeing. Many watersports or interactive activities state the minimum age to take part; always read carefully.
When selecting a hotel for your family, please ask Tramuda for advice so that we can guide you in choosing the perfect accommodation and the amenities that are important for you and your children may it be a kids’ club, water park, babysitting services, playground, kids’ pool(s) and of course family rooms and suites.
Before you travel, pack smart especially if you travel with babies and infants.
Pack a bag with all their essentials: bottles, nappies, medication, food, change of clothes and toys.
Remember flying and travelling can be unsettling and stressful for the little ones so if you find yourself on a plane or train with your baby crying while some fellow passengers seem annoyed, just breathe.
Solo travellers have fun too!
We would just recommend a few tips to make your stay safe and enjoyable. Tell your friends or relatives where you travel to and share your location with them.
Make a copy of all your travel documents (papers and scanned copies on your phone); we recommend that even people travelling together do so, but if you are on your own, it is an absolute must.
When booking a room, you will notice that the price of a single occupancy room is often more expensive than the cost of a double occupancy room divided by 2. The price of the room is based on several factors and often the price will vary according to the number of guests, taxes and board basis.
Finally, unless you only want to spend time with yourself, try and connect with other solo travellers during your trip; you never know they may become your next travel buddy!
